The cancellation policy

Cancellation of law tuition

We ask that students provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice if they want to cancel a session. If a student provides the minimum 24 hours’ notice, we are able to offer the following:

1.       A session at a different time/date which suits the student; or

2.      A partial refund, minus admin fees/processing fees (merchant charges).

Where a student cancels in less than the above specified time, it is at the tutor’s discretion whether or not your session fee is levied, because the tutor has lost that time in the diary and his/her earning capability for that booking. If sessions are cancelled and charged, we encourage our tutors to produce written plans/ notes for the student to work from. However, again this is at your tutor’s discretion.

Cancellation of partially used block booking

The block booking is sold at a discounted rate for a particular purpose. When a student purchases a block of 5, 10 or 20 hours and has partially used the hours. A refund in this circumstance will only be possible at the tutors discretion. It will depend on how many hours have been used and how many hours are remaining and this will be balanced with how much preparation or reading the tutor had to do to discharge the block booking of hours. The student will either get a refund minus any discount and admin fee or the hours that have been purchased.
